Well, nothing surprising. I find you can’t expect much from a Summer Blockbuster, so it’s better to just lean back and have a good time. They left it pretty open for a sequel, so I wonder if there’ll be something in the works soon. But I enjoyed the special effects and the back and forth storylines.

At first I didn’t really get into the book. I was a little confused by time shifting back and forth and making sense of what happened when. But after I got into the flow of the book I really loved it. The characters weren’t perfect, but it got me thinking about how life works out and why things happen. Like did Clare fall in love with Henry because he came to visit her? And how would they have ever met, enabling him to go and visit her as a child, if she hadn’t known who he was already?
Anyway, I thought it was a really unique story and I loved how the characters flowed through time. And the saddest part at the end, yet also the most beautiful, is that Clare waited for Henry every day towards the end of her life, just to enjoy a few moments with her husband. Even after his death she still had something to look forward to.
