The Last Song
by Nicholas Sparks
I like his books, but I find they really come to life when they’re played on the silver screen. All the nuances of living are fully expressed through the actors and the interactions between people seem real, while Sparks doesn’t really speak of the subtle actions that make life unforgettable. While movies based on his stories can make me cry, his books leave me feeling very little in comparison. So, I’ll be looking forward to watching this movie and am curious how Miley Cyprus will do.
So looking back over my past posts, I felt kind of sad that the movie version of ‘The Last Song’ really didn’t come to life like I had hoped it would have.
I feel lately, Nicholas Sparks’ books are dull by the time they get to the big screen. I’m not sure if it’s the directors or the actors, but I feel like a lot of the heart and soul that was recreated in the early adaptations has been lost. Maybe everyone’s banking on a Sparks success, but lately, I find his books have lost their way by the time they get to the big screen.
