Dare (2009)
Wow, was it all about pushing to the extreme? Was she out there trying to experience life, using him to give her that edge, while he was being used and looking for love? And then in the end he got the experience and the acting career from the pain of looking for love and she settled back into main stream status quo? Or was he always just using them? Talk about a mind fuck.
“So, who are you supposed to be?”
“No book in the whole world can teach you how to feel. You have to figure that out for yourself.”
Hmm, can’t stop thinking about this movie. So, maybe the reason he was seen as having talent in the first place, was because he was so wounded. He had so much hurt. And she was never really hungry. She never really wanted anything. She had everything she wanted, or she thought she could earn everything she wanted. And yeah, she was hurt because Johnny wanted both of them in the end, but she never really put herself out there. She only really ever played games. And in the end, picking college over going to NYC, again showed that she never was really willing to risk it all.
